OSB to give World Premiere in Cidade das Artes

Even amidst the financial crisis, the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra is performing. The next performance is October 23

Even through all its financial difficulty, the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra has managed to honor the remaining concert dates in this season, even with the original season being canceled. The concerts have undergone necessary changes in their programs, reducing the cost of performance rights, ECAD, extra musicians, and logistics, and now are all being performed in Cidade das Artes. On Sunday the 23rd of October, at 6pm, we will perform our next concert. Under the direction of Lee Mills, the BSO will give the world premiere of the work "À noite um homem sozinho procura se recordar," by Rodrigo Cicchelli. The Carioca composer wrote the piece for the BSO to perform, and has waived his rights for performance fees for this performance, allowing the BSO to bring to the public one more premiere of his work. Also on the program, the concerto fro two violins by J.S. Bach and Symphony No. 4 in E minor by Johannes Brahms.
