Thomas May included Lee's performance, featuring Beethoven's 6th Symphony and Ripper's "Cinco Poemas de Vinicius de Moraes" in his column A Letter from Seattle, which can be found in the May 2023 edition of Gramophone Magazine.
May writes: "The young Montana-born conductor... led a liberatingly joyous interpretation of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony... The resulting vibrancy resembled breathing in lungfuls of fresh country air and left the audience with spring in its step."
